Yes! High Roller offers a free version with core features including real-time elevation tracking, temperature updates, and one hour of history. Premium features like extended history and data export (coming soon!) are available through an optional subscription.

Not entirely! High Roller works completely offline using your device's built-in barometric altimeter and GPS. Internet is only needed for the current temperature via Apple's WeatherKit.

High Roller uses your iPhone's barometric altimeter combined with GPS data to provide accuracy within 1-10 feet in most conditions. Accuracy can be affected by weather changes and requires a device with a barometric sensor (iPhone 6 and later).

Peak Detection automatically identifies and marks the highest and lowest points within a selected time history range. It uses smart algorithms to filter out minor fluctuations and only records significant peaks and valleys, perfect for tracking your awesome adventures over multiple summits!

Several factors can affect elevation accuracy:

• Weather changes (pressure systems) can affect barometric readings
• Make sure Location Services are enabled for High Roller
• Try calibrating by entering a known elevation
• Ensure your device has a barometric sensor

If problems persist, try restarting the app or your device.

To fix location tracking issues:

• Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services
• Make sure Location Services are ON
• Find High Roller and set to "While Using App" or "Always"

If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app.

High Roller only collects elevation and location data that you explicitly choose to track. This data is stored locally on your device by default. We never sell your data to third parties. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.

Yes, you have full control over your data. You can delete all data at once from the History menu. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is also removed from your device.
